How To Add The Pinterest Tag and Events to a Squarespace Site - Steps that Actually Work

This actually works.

I have read other articles out there that have code that you can copy and paste BUT not all information is properly reported in the Pinterest Ads Manager because of hardcoded values in the code you copy.

What you need to do is:

1. Go to the Pinterest Tag Manager (Ads —> Conversions —> Tag Manager) and get your tag number — it’s a 13 digit number

2. Download this file

3. Edit the downloaded file in a text editor - Find and Replace all occurrences of 0000000000000 with your tag number (from Step 1)

4. In Squarespace, go to Settings —> Advanced —> Code Injection

5. Paste everything from the downloaded (and now edited) file into the Header box

6. Now Download this file

7. Edit the downloaded file in a text editor - Find and Replace all occurrences of 0000000000000 with your tag number (from Step 1)

8. Paste everything from the downloaded (and now edited) file into the Order Confirmation Page AND Order Status Page code boxes

9. YOU’RE DONE!
